Everyone screams and tumbles out of the way, clearing a path for me. Everybody thinks that I murdered Cassie, the one I loved, and right this moment, I feel as if I really am going to murder someone. Next person that touches me or talks to me about her death will find my hands around their neck.

I enter the lunch hall and sit in my usual spot, a lonely old table by the window in the corner. It has been a good two weeks since Cass and Kyle crossed over, and I have yet failed to see Cassie. Will, now being human shares the room with me, but the doctors say he is sane enough to not go to classes. Lucky bastard.

A girl with cherry blonde hair walks towards me and takes the seat across from me. I refuse to make eye contact with her, so, I turn and stare out the window.

"Dan...right?" She asks a bit cheerful. I am flabbergasted knowing that she doesn't mind that everyone is staring at her. She laughs once more and reaches over the table, pushing my jaw up, "Close your mouth, you'll catch flies!" I can't help but smile and I end up feeling my cheeks burning, "So you are Daniel Smith, right?" She lifts an eyebrow, sitting back down. I nod.

"Y-Yes...who are you?"

"Jennifer Plask." She replies. I smile. I love that name, I always have. The name also suits her.

"Well nice to meet you, Jennifer." I reply. She nods.

"You too, Daniel." When she calls me Daniel my heart shatters into a million pieces, tears starting to burn my eyes as memories of Cassie runs through my crowded mind, clearing it completly. I bite my lip to try not the wail from the pain I was suffering.

"Daniel, are you okay?" Jennifer cocks her head to the side. I nod and wipe my tears away, sniffeling.

"Y-Yes..."

"Are you sure?" I ignore her question, but I keep the conversation flowing.

"So, Jennifer, why are you sitting with me when apparently I killed Cassie?" I create quotes in the air as I say 'killed'. Jennifer smiles.

"Because I believe that you didn't. You are in the schitzophrena quadrent, but, you look completly normal. You are being haunted by demonds, ya?" I stare at her wide eyed, then look down.

"Erm, ya..."

"Me too." My eyes wander back up to her freckled face.

"You are? How come I have never seen you?"

"Because I just came here a few days ago," She looks down at her tray, "Around when Cassie died." I didn't think it was possible, but I swear I could feel my already shattered heart shatter a little more. Speechless, I get up from the table and run out of the lunch room, leaving Jennifer alone. Tears flow from my eyes. I stop as I reach the end of the schzophrenia hall and I lean against the wall. I slide my back down the wall, throwing my head in my hands, and cry into them.

I look up as I start to hear a familiar sounding scream. When I open my eyes, I notice that the lights have gone out and everyone is running around, lost, some screaming, some crying. Next to me there was a flashlight and a gun.

You have 48 hours.

Two days to be exact.

They have Cassie.

But not as you would like.

She isn't human.

If you want her back, just remember...

...Will is with you.

You must take a life to save a life.

Many are already being killed, as you can hear the gun shots and the blood curtailing screams.

Hurry now dear, Dan.

We are helping you, now go!

These aren't the demons speaking to me, I know that for a fact, "WHO ARE YOU?!" I yell into the darkness. A small glow in front of me becomes bigger as two figures with wings form in front of me. My mouth falls as I meet them once more, possibly for the very last time.
