"Hello, everyone. I am Patrick and I will be leading you guys through this meeting." The tall blonde man with deep blue eyes says in his soothing voice. Everyone could hear him, but one single person. She is sitting in the back of the room. In the corner. Alone.

I know what you are think, "Oh god. She is so antisocial. An idiot. A tool. A loner." But listen, my friend, there is a reason why this single girl with the curly red hair is sitting....well...single.

She is deaf. This meeting is for discussing your problems. Well, this girl cannot discuss. She can't hear, can't speak, can't sign. But she can write.

No one pays attention to her anyway, but she doesn't mind. She goes there just to be with her cousin, the meeting leader. Patrick.

The small silver bell rings as a single man with tall black hair wanders in aimlessly. The bell is beautiful. Yet it is sad. Because, this girl cannot hear.

The man walks in with his head tucked in a grey light jacket, staring at the ground.

"Welcome good friend," Patrick greets warmly, "Please come in, take a seat, get comfy." The man just nods and grabs a chair, but then he turns, and he stares. He stares at the girl, the completely deaf girl. She stares back, quite confused, but waves him over. He lifts a small smile, not showing teeth, but nods slightly, and gets to his feet.

He brings his chair and sits by her side, both of them looking into the other's eyes. "Hi..." He whispers, but soon is not amused, as he watches her sit there blankly, looking once again confused.

She cocks her head as they stare once again, then she writes on her hand "I do not understand."

"What do you mean?" He asks quite stern. She just shakes her head and writes, "I'm deaf. Don't try again." He then takes her pen and scribbles something down, "I'll teach you. You should come around."

The girl smiles as she stares him in the eyes, then nods with glee, turning her head to the side.

"You seem lovely," He writes again, "I'm Dan. What's your name?" He then hands her the pen.

"My name is Darcy. Hello, Dan. What's your address, I will come over at ten."
