15 part 1

I want to stop. I need to stop. Just stop all of this pain and just end it all....just....please, end it all. Something opens in front of the next doorway, as I run towards it. It looks like a...a black hole. I shake me head and run towards it faster. When I am close enough, I jump into it, and I am suddenly drowning.

The salt runs along my tongue, the water trying to make its way into my lungs. I look around me and notice that there is nothing but water. The ocean to be specific. My hair and clothes flow slowly in the water. The ocean water starts to turn red around me and I feel a stinging sensation in my back.

My back...

I finally start swimming up towards the surface where I can get air. The waves foam around me as I finally get to the surface, my arms flailing through the air. I look down and notice that my clothes have changed suddenly to a green and red jacket and blue levi's jeans. Water seeps into my red converse. I am way too far from the shore to swim. There is a thick forest ahead and rocky sand, but again, it is too far.

My hair droops over my eyes making it hard to see anything, and my arms and legs are getting tired from treading the water around me. Then I give up. I just give up completely. I'm done. My life ends here and it ends now.

I let myself fall into the water, and soon enough I am swallowed in the sea. My blood rises over me, making its way to the surface as I drown. The salty water makes its way into my lungs, drowning me from the inside and out.

Goodbye.

I enter the black water before everything turns hazy and dark.

I wake up in an open field, gasping for air.

What the hell? Didn't I just die?

I turn over and cough up some water mixed in with blood. When I sit up, my hands make their way to my back where Jennifer had stabbed me. There is still a hug gash, but little blood. Weirdly, I don't feel as week as in the hall when the fire chased after me.

I get to me feet and look around the empty field, confused, and lost. Suddenly, the ground underneath me starts the shake, and huge hedges form around me. I fall to the ground as it keeps beginning to shake. The hedges grow to at least twenty feet high until the ground stops and stands still.

Then there's chatting. I follow the sound of the voices through the maze of hedges until I reach a small square in the center of the maze. Huge Weeping Widows surround the area, and there is a small lake up ahead. Then I see the people. The corners of my mouth turn up to form a smile.

I run towards the four of them, feeling alive as ever.

Is this heaven?

I think to myself as I run faster towards them. As I run, my wet clothes change into a black Ghost Busters shirt and black skinny jeans, my red all-stars drying out. My hair stands up again in its perfect quiff, my whole body slowly drying.

I reach them and immediately take her in my arms. The smell of her soft blond hair filling my nose.

Cassie.
