E I G H T E E N

All I can hear is a peircing buzzing as I wake up. I am still strapped into my seat, but my half of the plane is tilted up towards the sky, causing me to hang from the seat. Droplets of blood from above me capture my attention. I bring my hand to my head, feeling a warm liquid pouring from my forhead.

I try moving in my seat but end up wailing in pain from a throbbing sensation in my chest. I look down to see that a piece of metal has been stuck through me and into the seat, "Shit." I mutter to myself. My eyes wander up to see that I am stuck in a forest clearing, but there is no sort of human life forms any where. The only moving, living things I see are a family of deer, nibbeling at the short grass. I look back down at the peice of metal that is stuck inside me. I have to pull it out, or else if I unbuckle myself, I would slide off it, and that would back matters worse.

With shakey hands, I bring the around the metal. Closing my eyes, I start to count to ten, taking deep breathes, "One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine," I stop at nine, starting to freak out. Shaking my head I close my eyes once more, quickly pulling it out. Pain engulfs my body and my eyes shoot open as I scream. Trying to calm myself down, I inhale through my nose, and exhale out my mouth slowly, bring my hands down and putting pressure on the wound.

I've got to get myself down. I've already dropped the bloody piece of metal, the the buckle on the seat belt looks slightly damaged. I try to unbuckle it. It takes a moment before the buckle gives way, sending my landing hard on broken pieces of the plane. Putting pressure back on my stomach, I look around for a building. Not having any luck I decide to walk around, once in awhile wiping the blood off my forehead.

"Daniel! Honey, is everything alright?" My step-sister, Ellie answers the other line. About and hour ago, I ran across a small town, similar to Twin Peaks matter of fact. I wondered opon a tellie, because my phone was ruind in the crash.

"Uhm," I hesitate, then shake my head, eyes closed, "Uh, no, I'm not-"

"You sound terrible."

"Anyway-"

"It's been two days since you said you were almost home! What happened?!" Two days?! I thought I was only out for a couple hours!

"Well, about that-"

"Spit it out Danyul Smiff." Ellie knows that I hate it when she calls me Danyul Smiff. If you're going to call me by my first and last name, at least say Daniel Smith.

"My drug dealer is trying to kill me. He crashed my plane and now I am in a mall town in the middle of nowhere with a slightly bleeding forehead, and a punctured stomach. I need help now! Hand me to Hunter, lemme speak to him. He will know what to do." Ellie doesn't say anything. All I hear in the background is whispering, and then silence, "Eleanor. Ellie, give Hunter the phone." Then everything slows as I hear a ear piercing scream on her end of the line. Hunter comes in screaming to someone to get out of he is calling the cops. A voice that I can't really recognize tells him if he takes another step closer, he'll slit Ellie's throat.

"HELLO?!" I shout into the phone, but it's useless.

"Now, come on, sir. We don't want trouble." I hear Hunter's American accent break through the silence. There's a chuckle before I hear a scream that turns into choking, a thud, a gunshot, then another thud.

Footsteps boom on the other line before the line drops dead. I stand frozen in fear and shock. Dropping the phone, I run out of the box, and into the street. I need to get back home quick, before anyone else is killed. I need to find a a map and an airport to see where I am.

The silence in the town lurks, causing me to freak out more. My quiff starts to fall in my face as beads of sweat cover my face and neck. My stomach and chest starts to burn as blood rises in my throat. Spitting out and coughing up blood, I fall to my knees, gripping my stomach. I am dieing and I still need answers. I still need to save Kyle, Will, Woody, Tod, and Darcy. My step-brother and step-sister have just been murdered by a mysterious person, and nothing is making sense right now. I need answers. Now. It's a ghost town and the only thing breaking the silence are my screams and heavy breathing.
