19- all of the stars

"I want to try and put together a secret concert today." I tell Woody.

"Wait," he says, placing his fork down, "Really?! Kyle is gone though."

I chuckle shaking my head, "No. No he is back, Chris."

Woody smirks, "Sure, Dan." I look up staring at Kyle, both of us having worried expressions. I look back at Woody.

"He is right here." Woody looks around us.

"Where, Dan? Where do you see Kyle?"

I point behind me, "He's standing right here!"

Woody shakes his head, "Okay, Dan, whatever you say. We can put together a concert today, but you are going to have to play the keyboard the whole time."

"Fine." I nod, "I'll send out a tweet." I know Kyle will be there, playing his keyboard.

Fans scream outside the theatre we rented for the day. I want to go outside and meet them, but Kyle refuses.

"Fuck it, Ky. I am going out there." I run down the stairs and out the door, jumping into the sea of fans.

"Dan!" Kyle yells behind me. Fan all around me stop dead silent.

"K-Kyle..." I hear a fan weep. All of them start crying. A fan with a R.I.P. Kyle Simmons runs up to him, trying to hug him, but once she jumps into his arms, he disappears.

We start playing Oblivion and Will tells some fans to tell the others the get their lights in the air. As we play, a sea of lights fills the room, the fans singing along.

"When oblivion is calling out your name..." I start tearing up as I watch Kyle sit at the edge of the stage holding two fans' hands, Will and Woody still not noticing him, "...You always take it farther than I ever can."

All of the stars gleam as I sing, my heart breaking as I watch the fans' faces grow to develop sorrow as Kyle stands and disappears.
